Monday Madness Matter|Pick Your Battles

Happy Monday! One of the best pieces of advice, (and funniest yearbook quotes,) I’ve seen is, “don’t sweat the petty stuff, and don’t pet the sweaty stuff”. For me, it means to not worry about the things I can’t control, because it won’t do anything except stress me out. It also means to pick your battles. What do you know! Another wonderful tip that you can use all the time! So what do I mean by, “pick your battles”? Well…




Consider the outcome, if you get your way, what’s the real benefit? If you lose, would it benefit someone else more? If you lose, would you really be worse off? It’s all about weighing the benefits versus the effort, time, and in some cases potential damage to a friendship or relationship. Make sure you’re focusing your effort on things that will truly be beneficial, your best effort will never be enough if it’s being exerted on the wrong thing.
